I have a very beloved sister who wanted to replace her over 15-yr old Honda CRV. She does not want much in a car but color that will fit in her budget. As a single mom, I tried to help her as much as I can, so I made calls, scower the internet looking for the car [color only] at the price she can afford. I figured out the total out the door price and finally saw a couple in Monrovia which is a ways drive from where we live. Called the dealership and turns out that the only (2) cars available that are being offered are not the ones in the 3 color choices she & her daughter likes. But since it was an affordable price, and no other dealerships (southbay, long beach & santa monica) had called, we are pretty much settling to what was on the table. Oh, southbay responded but felt like they are not being straight forward on the financing numbers that were given to me. We are set to see the cars Sunday, and if Monrovia was able to give us the color, we would have gone there on a Thursday. Then that same Thursday, an e-mail response from "Mike Latkin" came in and needed info for the car we initially inquired about that was more [after taxes & stuff] than what we need to be. I responded to Mike and told him where we are on the search and how much car it needs to be. After a few back & forth calls, and some adjustments, wholla!!! my sister is getting the car that she wants that she can afford and does not have to settle for something else. MIKE IS THE GREATEST OF THEM ALL!!! Hmmm, Larry, the finance guy, not so much but he's ok. Definitely will recommend this dealership to someone looking for a great fun mini to drive with people who will do what they can to make deal work. Don't really care about how the place looks [not saying it looks bad]. What really matters are the ones in it. You ROCK, Mike! ;-)
